The very basics of what you need to survive; air, water, food.

Air = 3 minutes | Water = 3 days | Food = 4 weeks.  It is important to note that body functions diminish during those time frames.  You begin to lose mental acuity, the ability to make strategic decisions, which is very important in survival situations.  Your body begins to shutdown; certain bio-functions like kidneys fail.  You’ll experience loss of strength, endurance, you’ll get tired and unable to move.  The idea is to make sure you know the limits and avoid them if possible.

The 3 basics are important to not only keep you alive; they will help you survive through disaster situations.  OK, sure it’s not practical to keep air supplies on hand but it’s very easy to keep water and food supplies.  It’s important to keep supplies in your home, vehicle and office.   The places where you spend the most time.
